Facebook backs down

It seems that Facebook, a huge social networking site, wanted to make changes to its policy, so that anything its users posted becomes their property. After protests and complaints though, Facebook decided to return back to its previous policy, at least for now. They're still trying to fix up the "Terms of Use" to deal with the issues their users brought up.

"The company deleted a sentence from the old Terms of Use. That sentence said Facebook could not claim any rights to original content that a user uploaded once the user closed his or her account.
It replaced it with: 'You may remove your User Content from the Site at any time. ... (H)owever, you acknowledge that the Company may retain archived copies of your User Content.'"

Well, I'm glad they've taken back what they did, even if it is temporary. The idea of Facebook owning everything you post is... uuuh, scaryy... .___.
Also makes me think that maybe I should start reading Terms of Use before I sign up for something. :'DD
