Robots and sensors to help elderly stay independent;
In the near future, the elderly will be accompanied by robots that simply help them out with their daily life. The robots will help them stay independent longer than before, so that they don't have to go to nursing homes and have people take care of them. Not only do the robots wake up their owners in the morning, they also send for help if someone falls. The main goal of these robots are to create a safer environment for the owner without invading their privacy.

Future planes, cars may be made of 'buckypaper';
Scientists are currently trying to figure out how to utilize 'buckypaper' so that they can use it to make things like TVs and airplanes. It's very light and could change the whole future of aerospace. 'Buckypaper', discovered by 'accident', is 10 times lighter, but potentially 500 stronger than sheets of pressed steel.
